The filament holder I made before had no major problems, but I wanted to create one that’s more convenient to use.
I designed it to be printed lying down to eliminate the need for supports while making it sturdy and not prone to breaking.
It can be printed on a 180mm*180mm build plate, like the Bambu A1 Mini.
If the filament spool rotates too freely, it can cause filament tangling issues.
So the two round rings are optional, but if you want the spool to rotate more smoothly, you can print two rings and insert them.
The standard placement for the rings is on the inside, but I also created a space on the outside just in case.
After printing and filming, I noticed room for improvement, so I added a lip on the top of the side opposite to where the filament spool is inserted.
Printing Tips
30% infill is recommended.
